Our Story

Breakthrough reaches people from all walks of life who are brought into a friendly and loving environment, where acceptance, answers, and hope are found. Breakthrough is exciting, fun, growing, and full of life! We believe in having a positive viewpoint toward life and the world around us. Breakthrough is a place where people enthusiastically use their God given gifts to serve others and grow His church. At Breakthrough, it’s all about JESUS!

Why Give?

Giving cheerfully and sacrificially of our finances is part of our worship. The Bible teaches us that we worship the Lord with our tithe, which is ten percent of our income contributed to the church on a regular basis. When we feel called to give over and above our tithe, we do so as an offering. A believer labors not to accrue personal wealth or possessions, but to steward God’s resources well and model Jesus to our brothers, sisters, and community.

Our work is an effort to serve our Father in all things, and one of the primary ways we serve God is by cheerfully giving God our firstfruits (2 Corinthians 9:7; Proverbs 3:9). We call our members to give, not by meeting some obligatory percentage, but gladly sacrificing for the sake of the gospel because Jesus sacrificed for us, and all we have is His.
